DNS Resolution Issue Workaround

If you are having issues with your ISP's DNS resolution, here is a quick and easy workaround that can get you back on track. You can do a "LOCAL WORK AROUND" on this issue by adding the following entries to your Windows Host File, as follows:

(Site IP number) (Your Domain Name)

Example:

69.93.219.154 www.com.ph

This means you are defining that the domain name www.com.ph is associated with the IP number 69.93.219.154. If you change IP numbers (such as by changing hosts or servers), then you need to reflect this immediately in your Windows Host File so that your domain name will associate with the new IP number.

To be able to find the location of your Windows Host File, do the following:

Start > Search > Files or Folders > Search for the file called HOST > Open HOST file using NOTEPAD > Add the entries below the 127.0.0.1 localhost > Save File > End

You will immediately notice that you will be able to view your domain without any problem and, you will never have the same problem again as you have already made a local DNS resolution set on your local PC.

Note:
This workaround will work for other domain names that you regularly visit. In order to find out the IP address of a particular domain name, you can check this article for instructions.
