Trouble sending mail in Outlook Express

If you are having trouble sending mail while using Outlook Express or any email client, check for the following:

1. Check if there is internet connection.
2. Check if your ISP requires that you use their own SMTP gateway (e.g. smtp.yourISP.com).
3. Check if port 25 is closed, especially for WiFi set ups, and especially if the router is Linksys.
